Tapasztalom, hogy sok félreértés van azzal kapcsolatban, hogy mit is csinál egy esküvői DJ. Sokan azt hiszik, hogy csak odaviszi a technikáját, megnyom pár gombot és már szól is a zene. Rengeteg téves információ található meg az interneten Pl.: „csak zenélni kell” “ezt bárki megtudja csinálni”.

Amikor esküvő DJ-t keresel, szinte biztosan széles árkínálatba ütközöl. Néha a pár tízezer forintos áraktól egészen többszázezer forintig. A fent említett tévhitek miatt sokan az árazás alapján választanak zeneszolgáltatót életük egyik legfontosabb napjára. Így gyakran előfordul, hogy megálmodott legszebb napból a legrosszabb lesz. Ha a DJ nem felkészült, vagy nincs elég tapasztalata egy ilyen esemény lebonyolításához , akkor az ifjú pár azt veszi észre, hogy rossz az este hangulata.
Nem a násznéphez illő zene szól, és emiatt unott arcokat lát az este folyamán. Ez arra vezethet, hogy a táncparkett folyton üres, vagy akár vendégek idő előtt elmennek.
Voltam olyan esküvőn vendégként, ahol a zenész egyszerűen nem vette figyelembe a közönség kéréseit, és nem játszotta az általuk kért zeneszámokat, így gyakorlatilag a násznép nyomására az ifjú pár hajnal 2kor megkérte, hogy pakoljon és menjen haza. Mondhatom, nagyon kellemetlen volt a helyzet amíg elhagyta a helyszínt a zenész. Ezekután pedig a helyszín saját hangfaláról szólt a zene és a laptopjáról válogatták a zenéket a résztvevők.
